Industrial Keyboards and Pointing Devices

Industrial environments are tough on equipment and increase the risk of product failures. Water, oil and chemicals would easily destroy a regular office keyboard. Those also could not be operated with gloves as required in some facilities. It therefore makes great sense to use special keyboards, mice, trackballs and touch pads for these areas. Our range is large and meets everything that you need at your point of use.

Industrial Keyboards

Glass Keyboards

Capacitive keyboards and buttons use individual sensors, which develop electrical fields and act like a capacitor plate. This field penetrates a large number of materials; the most commonly used is glass. If the user touches the field, the capacity changes and triggers a signal. It is possible to integrate a capacitive touch-pad, in addition to the pure buttons.

Our devices have a variety of functions and a high degree of design value. Manufactured at our German headquarter, the keyboards are subjected to a strict quality process. The products are used in a wide variety of applications and have a large number of benefits: elegance, resistance, a long serviceable life and userfriendliness.

Silicone Keyboards

Silicone pads are less expensive for mass production purposes in comparison to other keyboard technologies. They are reliable and offer almost unlimited opportunities for designs.

Silicone pads are made from highly elastic, toxin-free silicone rubber. They are created by moulding them from the basic materials that are fused together at a defined temperature and pressure. A special tool is necessary for each model. There is usually a conductive carbon pill for each key on the bottom side. The lower contact part is normally formed by meander-shaped conductors on a film or printed circuit board base.

Stainless Steel Keyboards

Stainless steel keyboards are the first choice if you require rugged input components and systems. With a high impact resistance level, they withstand the toughest operating conditions. Stainless steel is also very attractive as a material. Despite the material’s robustness, there are hardly any restrictions on individual designs.

Stainless steel, for example, is used in areas where consumers encounter keyboards. It is ideally suitable at information terminals, vending machines and ATMs or self-service systems because it offers protection against vandalism. Stainless steel keyboards also have extra value in terms of their aesthetics and functions. Key lighting, the use of an integrated touchpad or an individual key layout are just some of the many options available. Special stainless steel keyboards, which have a silicone keypad as the key element, are suitable in this area. This provides a pleasant touch feeling, which is almost the same as on a traditional PC keyboard.

Foil-covered Keyboards

Foil-covered keyboards are the most widely used input elements in device and apparatus construction. Whether they have a narrow operating area with two keys or are a complete user interface with a large number of keys and additional elements, their robust design, flat insertion depth and the large degree of freedom in terms of their shape continue to make them customers’ first choice.

The variety of additional functions and properties that can be combined with foil-covered keyboards are what make them an attractive proposition. Coatings that repel biocides or liquids, different lighting options, capacity sensor elements or a double contact function are all available.

Industrial pointing devices

The world of technology is subject to rapid changes and requires increasingly high standards for functions and usability – and operating technology is no exception. A new type of operating system is now the focus of attention – touch-free operations! This is possible with the optical switch from GETT. In contrast to the optical switch, GETT also offers capacitive switch technology, which involves delineated, physically buttons.

A trackpad or touchpad is a pointing device made for industrial applications.

Our touchpad is designed to be built into a device.

Our integrated capacitive touchpad is resistant to dirt, dust and liquids (IP65 rating). It has two mouse buttons; the sensitivity level of the trackpad can be adjusted.

A key combination allows you
to even emulate horizontal scrolling.

A trackball is a pointing device made for industrial applications.

Our 38-mm trackball is designed to be built into a device.

The product is resistant to dirt, dust and liquids (IP65 rating) and comes with two mouse buttons.

Industrial Mice

Not only do we offer a washable black plastic mouse, but also a durable silicone option featuring an aluminum base plate with integrated laser detection.

These industrial silicone mice have an ergonomic shape and are completely waterproof.

The symmetrical design
makes them suitable for both right and left-handed users.
