Capacitive switch


Capacitive keypads and switches use individual sensors that emit electrical fields and act like a capacitor plate. This field penetrates a variety of materials, with glass the most commonly employed. When a user touches the field, a change in capacitance is detected,  triggering a signal. Capacitive touchpads can be seamlessly integrated into your system.

Unlike touchscreen displays that feature a graphical user interface, this technology involves true mechanical components.
